Do you have a hot weather policy?
If any of the following criteria are met, then please note all Summer 5’s grades will be cancelled for that weekend.
1. If a Heat Health Alert is issued by the Department of Health for the day of competition.
2. If the temperature for the day of competition is forecast to be 36 degrees or above, as of the final forecast the day prior (after 5pm Thursday) 3. If the temperature reaches 36 degrees or above during play, the session will be suspended.
Additionally, if the temperature is forecast to be 30 degrees and above on the day of competition, the following measures will be adhered to:
* Two extra drinks breaks will be implemented, in addition to half time.
We have taken this decision in the best interests of the players and volunteers, and with their safety and wellbeing as our top priority. This decision has been made after consideration of both Football Australia and Football Victoria guidelines regarding extreme heat.
